Analysis: Google Trends
Exploring how visitors search for subjects on Google is vital in learning how to connect these visitors to the content that they are interested in. It is interesting that music composition turned up things like lessons and techniques as opposed to finding a music composer. Sound design seemed to turn up far more applicable search topics. Writing music did not seem to connect at all to what I thought it would. It may be far more strategic to conduct multiple searches before writing copy to find similar services to what my client is offering before blindly including terms that I think would be applicable. The use of Google Trends and Google Analytics can be instrumental in connecting my client to his potential clients. When starting out, the terms that may seem to be applicable may turn up entirely different results than expected. Use of these tools can help the web designer, developer, and copy writer to develop content that will reach the audience where they are and connect them to the content that they are looking for.
